Job Description

To support our strong growth, we are seeking a Senior Software Safety Engineer, autonomous and capable of supporting clients in the implementation of processes compliant with international standards.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the RAMS Group Manager, you will be responsible for software safety engineering on critical projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the client in the implementation and monitoring of Software Safety processes.
  • Applying and advising on software safety standards: MIL-STD-882, IEC 61508, DO-178.
  • Defining and assessing Levels of Rigor (LOR), software assurance levels, and Software Integrity Levels (SIL).
  • Performing system and software safety assessments.
  • Analyzing customer safety requirements, leading the development of product safety requirements, and ensuring their integration into system design and architecture.
  • Performing Software Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analyses (FTA).
  • Conducting hazard analyses and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety issues in system design.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and the capitalization of best practices.
  • Collaborating with internal technical teams and the client to ensure product compliance with safety requirements.
  • Writing technical reports and monitoring software safety indicators with stakeholders.

Required Profile

  • Engineering degree in computer science, electronics, embedded systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software/system safety or RAMS, ideally in the defense, railway, or aerospace sectors.
  • Experience in implementing complex processes and ensuring compliance with international software safety standards.
  • Knowledge and experience with risk assessment methodologies and at least one of the following safety standards: MIL-STD-882, IEC 61508, DO-178.
  • Mastery of concepts such as SWAL, SIL, SEEA, LOR, FMECA, FTA.
  • Strong analytical skills, rigor, and ability to synthesize.
  • Leadership and ability to support teams and clients in process implementation.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
