Our ambition

Our mission is centered around innovation, with the goal of creating a safer and more sustainable future by enhancing systems and projects throughout their entire lifecycle.

We are actively involved in the French R&D ecosystem (IRT, labs, etc.) and collaborate with our clients (POC*, POV** , etc.) to develop groundbreaking solutions for the design and operation of tomorrow's systems, aiming to significantly enhance our future living conditions. In particular, LGM is positioning itself as a pioneer in new technologies (AI, etc.), clean and renewable energy, autonomous vehicles, and robotics.

Our R&D strategy

LGM's Research and Development strategy is founded on two complementary pillars, emphasizing the delivery of innovative solutions and methodologies within our product and service offerings.

The first focus is on speeding up the engineering and securing of new technologies (like AI and cybersecurity) and autonomous systems (such as robots, drones, and interconnected systems).

The second focus is on digital continuity at the core of our projects and products, particularly in our areas of expertise such as model-based engineering and digital twins.

Research and development and innovation topics may pertain to:

  • 01
    01

    • Implementing new technologies in the value chain of our business (such as AI and System In Package) includes integrating generative AI for predictive maintenance and optimizing the planning of the operations.

  • 02
    02

    • Participating in the development of new standards, especially the ASD-STAN (AeroSpace and Defence Industries) standards, or creating new business approaches in collaboration with technological research institutes (IRT) and within professional communities (such as AFIS and IMDR).

  • 03
    03

    • The implementation of digital continuity for collaborative lifecycle engineering (Application/Product Lifecycle Management, Online Product Engineering) and the optimization of maintenance engineering (support engineering, documentation, training, inventory, and operational readiness).

  • 04
    04

    • The development of new methods and techniques to address the industrial challenges of the future, such as eco-design and industrial performance.

Innovation at the heart of our purpose

Our R&D organization

In addition to the other departments in the group (such as Operations, Sales, and HR), the Technical and Innovation Management department is responsible for:

  • Analysis of issues and anticipation of market needs in our professions.
  • Expertise and mastery of the technical excellence of our achievements.
  • Capitalization of our knowledge and development of skills
  • Innovation and creativity for solving complex problems.

The DTI  (Technical Innovation Department) is central to LGM's R&D strategy. It plays an active role in securing funding for R&D projects, such as grants and co-development initiatives. Additionally, the DTI oversees innovation and supports the technical teams responsible for implementing it.
